Physical Therapist

A native of Cortland, Janine earned her Physical Therapy Degree from Utica College of Syracuse University in 1998.  She practiced physical therapy in the Philadelphia area for five years before moving back to Cortland in 2003.  Janine last worked as Outpatient Supervisor at CRMC’s Outpatient Physical Therapy.  She has had a vision of creating a center of wellness since working in integrative facilities in Philadelphia.  She has been a fitness enthusiast for many years.  Being a mother of three, Janine finds exercise to be invigorating and a necessity in keeping up with her family’s energy.  She enjoys changing up her routine with a variety of cardio machines, TRX training, balance training, body-weight and core strengthening exercises.

Exercise Physiologist &

Personal Trainer

Yale earned his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology from West Liberty University in West Virginia and his Master’s Degree from SUNY Cortland. He is a professional baseball player and has played ball all over the country! Yale most recently obtained his GOATA Certification and utilizes this to help clients of any age and athletic ability achieve their goals.

Group Fitness Instructor

Val is a certified AFFA and NYSM certified group fitness instructor and has been teaching classes for over 30 years. She began teaching in the 1980’s and has taught many different types of fitness classes including step, high and low impact, Tabata, Zumba, SHINE, and RIP (group weight training). Val is passionate about helping others find what works for them and pushing them to reach their fitness goals.

Valerie is a NETA Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist, ACE Weight Management Specialist, NETA Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Empower USA Pro-active Self Defense Instructor, Licensed Silver Sneakers Instructor and NETA Certified Senior Fitness Specialist.

Through her own experience with weight struggles in her teens and early 20s, Valerie lost 100 pounds by slowly making one change at a time with both fitness and nutrition choices. Because of this change in her life and her journey to achieve her goals, Valerie decided to become Certified to help others achieve their health goals, too! Her mission is to help others do the same through healthy lifestyle choices and habit-forming patterns that work. Through simple, yet effective sustainable lifestyle habits and mindful planning, Valerie would love to help you, too!
